Importing hosts

Every import shows a preview of each host before anything is saved.

Sources

• ~/.ssh/config, with usernames optional. Home reminds you of hosts there that you haven’t saved; its × hides the reminder until new ones appear.
• CSV / TSV and Excel (.xlsx). A ready-to-fill CSV template is included.
• MobaXterm and PuTTY (Linux, or a Windows .reg export).
• Remmina connections, including RDP settings and passwords (from Remmina’s keyring entry or its own file).
• Remote Desktop (.rdp) files, with their settings.
• Ansible INI inventories.
• TuxShell JSON, from another TuxShell.

Passwords in imports

Imported passwords are kept only if you allow saving passwords, and then only in your system keyring. Importing again can add passwords to hosts you already saved without changing them.

Export

Preferences → Hosts exports as TuxShell JSON, CSV or ssh_config. Exports never contain passwords.
